Based on this, it can be concluded that the rapid development of information technology has influenced developments in various sectors, one of which is the digital economy. Supporting this, the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati has officially issued an electronic stamp or e-stamp in order to change the Indonesian economy towards a better direction.
Electronic stamp duty or e-stamp is one type of stamp duty which is made using an electronic format and has special characteristics that contain elements of security issued by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, and can be used or used to pay taxes on electronic documents that have been connected to the electronic system.

The difference between electronic stamp duty or e-stamp
As for what distinguishes electronic stamps or e-stamps physically, it is different from the use of stamps in general which have so far been affixed to documents that require stamp duty. The launch of the electronic stamp duty or e-stamp makes the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) prepare all readiness from the technical side to applications in collaboration with the Public Company for Printing Money of the Republic of Indonesia (Perum Peruri) which is appointed as a legal institution that has issued electronic stamps or e-stamps. -stamp.
